14 APRIL 2017 | 11am | PARKER’S PIECE

Join World Jump Rope Champion Adrienn Banhegyi to re-enact a tradition of skipping on Parker’s Piece dating back to 1838. Every year for over a hundred years, residents of Cambridge gathered on Parker’s Piece to skip together in celebration of Spring. Taking place on Good Friday the practice is linked to ancient pagan rituals of leaping into the future in the hope of better times to come. We invite everyone of any age to join us to skip together to welcome in the Spring of 2017 and share our hoped for futures together.

This event is free. No booking required. Just turn up on the day!
