This exhibition has been timed to coincide with the painting of the name Reality Checkpoint onto the post to preserve this part of its history for posterity.
In the early hours of 5th June 2017 the painting of the name on Reality Checkpoint was completed by artist Emma Smith in homage to the artists who first painted it there in 1973. This painting by Emma Smith is the first time in history the name has been painted on the post with official permission with the intention that the name of this precious post may be saved for posterity as a central part of its history.
